Communication and Engagement – This sub-group isn’t currently meeting but it is going re-established in the New Year please keep your eye out for an update.

The Communication and Engagement sub group came together as a group of professionals, autistic adults/parents and parent/carers to discuss the issues arising around the title of this themed group.

The most recent subjects of our meetings have been around the setting up of a website for our board. This website will now be an important means of communication from and to the board from our wider audience of autistic individuals, carers, family and of course other professionals.

A second important topic is the creation of a Peer and Mentor Support Group, which will hopefully prove to be an important aide to autistic adults starting out on the diagnostic pathway and beyond. Support will be built around areas covered by the strategy such as diagnosis, housing, transition and employment.
